Fuel Cell DC/DC
According to the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle development plan released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in October 2016, the number of fuel cell vehicles will reach 5,000 by 2020, 50,000 by 2025 and 1 million by 2030. In the same time, 100, 350 and 1,000 hydrogen refueling stations will be built. High-voltage and high-power DC/DC is the key component of fuel cell engines, which has an important impact on the efficiency and compactness of fuel cell vehicles. SiC power devices bring revolutionary innovation to hydrogen vehicle fuel cell DC/DC converters. High switching frequency and high power density are the most significant advantages of SiC device based product. The SiC device allow the DC/DC converter operates at 4 times higher switching frequency compared with conventional IGBT based converter, which results in 3 times higher power density. The average system efficiency is greater than 97%, and the maximum efficiency can reach 99%.
